Project context
Hideez Authenticator needed to combine advanced security features for B2B and B2C users without making sign-in feel slow or technical. The product had to support single sign-on, QR-based Windows login, OTP, biometrics, access control, and vault tools while staying simple for employees and manageable for IT teams.
Scope delivered
The work covered security UX research, authentication flows, biometric access, QR login, OTP states, secure vault interactions, interactive prototypes, and a cohesive design system for product and development handoff.
Product and UX work
- Designed mobile and desktop flows for secure sign-in, OTP, biometric access, and QR-based login
- Simplified complex authentication actions into clear screens, prompts, and recovery states
- Mapped B2B admin and employee needs around access rights, device variety, and platform coverage
- Created a clean security-focused UI direction for authenticator, client, and vault interactions
Outcome
The redesign helped Hideez make secure authentication more understandable and easier to operate, with clearer flows for sign-in, biometric access, QR login, OTP, vault interactions, and product handoff.
Design focus
The design focus was a security product where trust, usability, enterprise access, biometrics, SSO, and strict authentication requirements had to work together.
